Pilot was performing full stalls during SIV training. Successful reserve deployment after twists. Beamer 2 deployed quickly with no twists. Pilot pulled in paraglider (no quick outs), then steered and landed on beach. Pilot had not read reserve manual and put in excessive steering inputs creating a slightly unstable (swinging) descent, but landed with a roll and was unhurt.
